Aren’t you tired of swiping in the hopes of running into a specific someone you have an existing, lingering curiosity about? Here’s your chance to be brave—to take the active route instead of the passive one. Let’s connect again.
Asexual at the Orgy
I was crying because I was so overwhelmed and embarrassed, considering my own sexuality or lack thereof while trapped with a bunch of oversexed partiers. You could have been having a good time, but you stopped and offered to talk and help me with whatever I needed. Only you felt genuine. Thank you.
Matrix Dance Party
Saw you at the Matrix dance party, shaved head, cute smile. I was too nervous to ask you to dance all night. You helped me put on my glow stick bracelet. Let me return the favor sometime!
Sisters In Christ Sticker
I was driving home from my night shift, you were stopped next to me at the Broad/Washington intersection. I noticed that you also had a Sisters in Christ sticker on the back of your car. We both continued down Broad, then Napoleon, where we were both stopped next to each other again at Napoleon/Claiborne. I eventually turned on Prytania, and you disappeared in the night. All this to say I thought you were cute.
Morning After High Five
Almost exactly a year ago, you gave me a high-five as I walked past you on a residential street in mid-city. We were both bleary eyed and clearly in the same clothes we’d worn the night before, but had a mutually recognizable confidant gait (happy shuffle?) that said “I had sex last night.” I had just started a job I really wanted, my libido was back, and you saw me.
Dancin’ and Singin’ in the Rain
You are a child so I know you won’t read this but maybe your parents will. I went to a Sunday screening of Singin’ in the Rain at the Prytania and during the final dance number your small child was dancing in the aisles (left side), unable to sit still. She started to sing too but then was quickly told that it wasn’t the time. It was so heartwarming, and made me smile even bigger than I already was.
Trash on Carrollton
I was at a stoplight, you were walking your dog past a bus stop on Carrollton and saw some discarded take-out beside the provided and underused trashcan. You were clearly going through some stuff, and I didn’t hear the expletives that you sprayed while properly disposing of your neighbors trash, but I want you to know that you’re absolutely right.
