Happy Pisces Season! This month we will observe a large number of planets transition to new signs, and thus experience major energetic shifts both personally and collectively. The most significant of these transitions will be on the 7th, when Saturn will move into Pisces after spending the last two-and-a-half years transiting Aquarius. Saturn is associated with responsibility, dedication, and perseverance, and its movement into Pisces will signify a collective shift toward spiritual discernment and the acceptance of change and loss. On the same day we will experience the full moon in Virgo. The full moon can signify both a culmination and a release, and Virgo energy is no stranger to either. If you have been holding tension in your body or your soul, the full moon will be an excellent time to examine what has caused it. We can then use our healthiest coping mechanisms to release pent-up anxieties and choose how we wish to manifest personal and relational peace. In addition, Venus will enter Taurus on the 16th, Mercury will enter Aries on the 18th, and Mars will enter Cancer on the 25th. These three signs are all part of the spring and summer months, and we might feel as though the new seasons of our lives are approaching faster than anticipated. By embracing Pisces’ adaptability we can enter these new seasons with more grace than fear.
ARIES
The sun will be transiting your 12th house of spiritual growth this month, and you might want to slow your endless roll for a moment and collect yourself. Your passionate ways are always appreciated by those who know what to do with them, but that doesn’t mean you can’t also have a moment of softness before dedicating your energy to what needs to be done. Mercury, planet of communication and intellect, will enter your sign on the 18th, shortly before the sun enters your sign on the 20th. If you are able to spend the first part of the month rejuvenating and relaxing, these transits will imbue you with a greater sense of purpose as we move into spring.
TAURUS
Your ruling planet Venus will conjunct Pisces’ ruling planet Jupiter on the 1st, marking a distinct time for expanding your view of what pleasure is and how best to wield the power that comes with it. Pisces and Taurus don’t have much in common on the surface, with you being remarkably steadfast and Pisces being remarkably not. However, both are distinctly sensual and can be very kind and giving. This season is an excellent time to allow yourself to loosen up and soften, particularly once Venus enters your sign on the 16th.
GEMINI
The sun will transit your 10th house this month, encouraging you to focus on your public image and career goals. Your fellow mutable sign Pisces, though perhaps not the most dedicated, can be incredibly creative. You also possess these gifts, but these pursuits can often take a form that is less emotional and more analytical. Your ruling planet Mercury will enter Pisces on the 2nd, engaging your emotions in ways that encourage new creative capacities and inspire a deeper analysis of what drives you to create.
CANCER
The first half of this month is going to be relatively astrologically quiet for you, as you feel held by the gentle energy of your fellow water sign Pisces. The sun will be transiting your 9th house, and you might find that this sense of comfort is joined by an invigoration of your intellectual and spiritual pursuits. By the 20th, hopefully, you will have reached a level of inner peace that can be used as a foundation for the demands that might arise as the sun enters fellow cardinal sign Aries on the 20th. Mars (planet of aggression and power) moves into your sign on the 25th, bringing you the inspired energy to achieve a great deal if you first let yourself feel all your feelings.
LEO
The sun, your ruling planetary body, will conjunct Pisces’ modern ruling planet Neptune, the planet of dreams and psychic receptivity, on the 15th. Your fixed fiery nature might be more comfortable in situations and relationships that you can control, and Pisces season is here to teach you how to be more receptive. On the 20th we will experience the vernal equinox when the sun moves into fellow fire sign Aries. Equinoxes mark the days that the sun spends equal time above the horizon as below, and for you this will be a great time to establish a healthy balance of attachment and detachment.
VIRGO
Your sister sign Pisces can often embody traits that you might find irritating—where Virgo is often meticulous, intentional, and methodical, Pisces can be quite intuitive, illogical, and unreliable. As sister signs you share a common set of values, and yet your approaches can be in complete opposition. The full moon in your sign on the 7th is an excellent time to reflect on these dualities and the ways you can balance the less healthy manifestations of these traits by accepting things as they are and embracing the unknown.
LIBRA
Venus (your ruling planet of pleasure, romance, and indulgence) will be entering Taurus on the 16th, and you might experience a heavy dose of earthly delights if you are feeling well balanced and emotionally regulated. Conversely, if you have been feeling dysregulated or on edge, this transit will invite you to reinvest in your material interests so that you can more easily pursue the things that make you happy. The sun will be transiting your 6th house, encouraging a focus on health and service to others. You might find yourself examining how you can show up authentically and fully while also not negating your own basic needs.
SCORPIO
Though Pisces and Scorpio are both water signs, they are often characterized as two of the most different within any elemental group. You might meet Piscean energy as a fair-weather friend, but find the overall vibe to be less deep or personal than the energy you tend to pursue. As the sun transits your 5th house, you could perhaps benefit from embracing Piscean adaptability in both relationships and creative pursuits. Your traditional ruler Mars will enter fellow water sign Cancer on the 25th, bringing with it emotional depth and inspired action.
SAGITTARIUS
The sun will be transiting your 4th house this month, indicating a good time to take a look at your home, family, and subconscious patterns of behavior. This house is associated with how our past affects the way we want to build our future. By taking the first half of the month to slow down and look into past pains, you could potentially release patterns that hold you back, making room to build new ones that serve your long-term goals. The sun will enter fellow fire sign Aries on the 20th, breathing new life into all of your possibilities.
CAPRICORN
Your ruling planet Saturn will be leaving Aquarius on the 7th, the same day as the full moon in fellow earth sign Virgo. These planetary movements could strongly affect your mood and sense of stability, and therefore it might be wise to intentionally ground during this period. Saturn’s movement into Pisces might shift your self-image in unexpected ways, or help you release unhealthy attachments to control.
AQUARIUS
This month the sun will transit your 2nd house. Have you been investing in your own needs enough lately? Aquarians can often be overly willing to put the needs of others above their own, which in the name of collective liberation can be a great tool for inspiring others. However, we all have wants and needs, and there is no shame in acknowledging your own. Perhaps buy yourself a nice big plant for your home, or commit to a daily routine that brings you peace in a world that can be quite brutal.
PISCES
Happy You season, Pisces! Though you are perhaps excited to start a new cycle around the sun and leave the past behind, Saturn’s movement into your sign will remind you that even if you flow like a river, you are still contained within its banks. Some of your best assets are your adaptability and sensitivity, and these traits can be strengthened by acknowledging the necessity of boundaries and commitments. The full moon in your sister sign Virgo on the 7th is a good time to look at how you can build pathways that keep you safe, without restricting your flow.
