ZACH BRIEN

What is your favorite rig to shoot on?

I shoot with two Canon bodies: 7D Mark II and 6D Mark II. I have a telephoto lens on the 6D and a 17-55 wide-angle on the 7D.

What are your goals as a photographer?

To one day have a staff job at a publication like Associated Press, New York Times, or Getty. I consider myself a photojournalist, so having access to that readership would be a dream come true. I would also like to be the team photographer for an NFL team. I had the pleasure of shooting the NFL in 2018. It was the time of my life.

What is your favorite thing about photography?

As long as I have my camera, I am never alone. It’s a constant companion. It allows me to make art almost anywhere.

What is your least favorite thing?

It is expensive.

What advice do you have for other photographers?

Just keep shooting, that’s it. I got that advice from a local photographer, Harold Baquet.
